On Friday September 24, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced their recommendation that people 65 and older and certain populations who are at high risk of COVID-19 receive a booster shot of the Pfizer vaccine at least six months after the completion of their Pfizer vaccine primary series. This decision follows the authorization by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Public Health will start giving COVID-19 booster doses to eligible individuals at our Monday vaccine clinics at the New Richmond Services Center starting October 11.
We have limited appointments. Please schedule by noon the Friday before your Monday appointment. There is limited space in our building and we want to provide physical distancing as much as possible.
Things to remember before you register:
- Your first doses must have been Pfizer vaccine.
- It has been six months since your second dose of Pfizer.
