Big 4 Food Safety

Welcome to Big 4 Food Safety.  Big 4 Food Safety is a St. Croix County Public Health food safety educational campaign that prioritizes the key safety controls of food borne illness.  The goal is provide food safety training to all food handlers, food managers, and food establishment owners but is also available to the general public. 

Based on Wisconsin Food Code, this course and it’s toolkit materials were developed following a survey that included St. Croix County food establishments, a review of St. Croix County food establishment inspection results, and a quality improvement project.   

The Big 4 Food Safety toolkit includes the following: 

  • A Big 4 Food Safety Course video (English, 36 minutes) see below
  • Big 4 Food Safety on line exam (English)
  • Food Safety Certificates will be mailed to the participants who complete the course and exam
