FREE Electronics Collection Event Tuesday, April 29 | 2pm - 6pm504 Frontage Road, Hudson, WI 54016
Bring your electronics to the county-sponsored collection event. Electronics will be accepted for FREE! All data will be destroyed, and equipment responsibly recycled in accordance with First Choice’s non-landfill policy. This event is for St. Croix County residents only. Visit our collection events page for important event details and a list of items that will be accepted. There will be a second event held at the St. Croix County Highway Department in Baldwin, WI on September 11 from 2pm - 6pm.

FREE Appliance & Scrap Metal Collection EventTuesday, May 20 | Noon - 6pm300 Oak Ridge Pkwy, Baldwin, WI 54002
Join us for a special recycling event hosted by St. Croix County in partnership with Amery Auto Salvage. Bring any items that are over 60% metal, including but not limited to: appliances, yard equipment (all fuel and oils must be drained), aluminum cans, scrap metal, copper, aluminum, and batteries for FREE! Limited staff and equipment will be available onsite, so please plan on unloading your own items. All proceeds will go directly to the St. Croix County Sheriff's K9 Unit. FREE Tire Collection EventTuesday, June 10 | 2pm - 6pm300 Oak Ridge Pkwy, Baldwin, WI 54002
Bring in your car, pick-up truck, motorcycle, ATV, SUV, semi, van, golf cart, trailer, yard equipment or bicycle tires for recycling (22-1/2” rim or smaller). This event is for St. Croix County residents only. Limit of 16 passenger tires per household/address. Proof of County residency required. There will be a charge of $1 per rim (cash only - please bring exact change). Commercial businesses and tractor tires are not eligible. Funding is limited. NEW! Hazardous Waste Voucher Program
Dispose of your hazardous waste for free any time of year. A voucher is available so that residents can coordinate disposal of their hazardous waste through Logistics Recycling Inc. (LRI). Oil-based paints are now covered for free. The cost for latex paints will not be covered under the voucher program. Latex can still be brought to LRI. Resident to cover disposal fee. This program does not apply to businesses. Once you provide a materials list, LRI will contact you to schedule a drop-off appointment. Unscheduled drop-offs will not be accepted. Compost Bin and Pail Sale For Backyard CompostingAs part of the annual St. Croix County tree sale, we offer compost bins and collection pails to support sustainable living by recycling organic waste into nutrient-rich compost. Why compost? Composting reduces the need for pesticides and synthetic fertilizers. Because compost enriches soil and promotes healthy plant growth, plants grown in compost-rich soil tend to be more resilient to diseases, pests, and fungi. - 25-30% of American household waste is compostable food scraps
- Prevent methane pollution, a major factor in global warming
- Save resources, landfill space, and return valuable organic material to the earth
- Mix into your garden or flower beds to improve plant growth or over your lawn and embankments to help reduce erosion
