[ARCHIVED] Bed Bug Info Line

St. Croix County Public in cooperation with community partners has opened a Bed Bug Information Line.  This phone line will link community members to information and gather data on how widespread bed bugs are in St. Croix County.

Bed bugs are on the rise across the country.  There are no illnesses associated with bed bugs but, beyond the minor itching/ rash/ blistering that may occur from bed bug bites, the psychological impacts of an infestation can range from anxiety, depression, and sleeplessness which can have a significant health impact.  To compound the issue, persons often self treat bed bug infestations trying dangerous do-it-yourself methods including overuse or misapplication of chemicals or heat treatments that may result in illness, injury, or property damage.

For information on how to identify/treat/prevent bed begs call 715.246.8364.  To help us understand how wide spread bed bugs are in our community go to www.surveymonkey.com/r/bedbughotline
