Commercial Recycle Bin

Do you need guidance in setting up an internal recycling program? Or would you like to enhance your existing recycling program? Maybe you have a robust program and would like to share your recycling ideas and resources and be highlighted as “Business of the Month” on our Facebook page.  

Contact the County’s Recycling Specialist to speak at your place of business with a PowerPoint presentation on Recycling Right. Discuss ways to implement, improve or share your recycling program and receive a 23-gallon commercial recycling bin as a way to help support your efforts.

Commercial Recycling Bin Process 

  • Available only to local St. Croix County businesses (no chains) 
  • 23-gallon recycling bins = $85 value 

Three ways to qualify to get a free recycling bin(s): 

1. Do not yet have a recycling program set-up for their business 

  • Work with the recycling specialist to evaluate and set-up a recycling program 
  • Presentation to employees on how to Recycle Right 
  • St. Croix County to provide signage 
  • St. Croix County to provide commercial bins and recommend other receptacles 

2. Currently have a recycling program, but it may be outdated or lacking resources 

  • Work with the recycling specialist to evaluate and enhance recycling program 
  • Presentation to employees on how to Recycle Right 
  • St. Croix County to provide signage 
  • St. Croix County to provide commercial bins and recommend other receptacles 

3. Currently have a robust recycling program  

  • Work with the recycling specialist to share recycling ideas and resources 
  • Promote business through social media showing good examples and innovations 
  • Highlight the Business of the Month

Recycling…it’s the Law 

The recycling law passed in WI under WI state law 287: Residents, businesses and other organizations must recycle designated materials, as well as provide for the recycling of these materials by their clients or customers.
