[ARCHIVED] St. Croix County Hazardous Waste Voucher Program

Clean Sweep

Did you miss the last collection event or can’t wait for the next event to get rid of your household or agricultural hazardous waste? Kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and garages are all places where you may store items with properties that make them hazardous. Look for symbols or words like toxic, poisonous, corrosive, reactive, ignitable or flammable.

A voucher is available when St. Croix residents bring their hazardous waste directly to Logistics Recycling (LRI) in Somerset. Once you provide a materials list, LRI will schedule a drop-off appointment.

Paints and stains are not covered under the voucher program but can still be brought to LRI. Once latex paint is no longer in a liquid form it is not considered hazardous waste and can be thrown in the trash. Use sawdust, kitty litter, or a paint hardener to turn it into a solid.
