St. Croix River Crossing Loop Trail

Lift Bridge Closed

In preparation for the upcoming St. Croix River spring flooding, the lift bridge along the Loop Trail will be closed until further notice.

St Croix Crossing Loop Trail SignThe Loop Trail is located in Northwestern St. Croix County, approximately seven miles north of Hudson and eight miles southwest of Somerset. The Loop Trail is part of an interstate trail between Houlton, Wisconsin and Stillwater, Minnesota. The 4.7 mile trail is open to pedestrians and bicycles and crosses both the new St Croix Crossing Bridge and the historic Lift Bridge.

Park Passes

Annual park passes are available for purchase at the following locations:

  • Community Development Department - St. Croix County Government Center (Hudson)
  • Community Development Department - St. Croix County Ag Center (Baldwin)
  • Glen Hills Park & Homestead Parklands entrance buildings
  • Self-registration boxes located throughout the parks

*daily park passes ($10) may be purchased at the Blue Star Trailhead
