The Department of Natural Resources owns approximately 2 acres of land on Bass Lake in the Town of Somerset. St. Croix County has a 20 year maintenance agreement for the site with the DNR which includes, boat landings for two launches, two courtesy docks and a parking lot with 17 stalls, including one handicap stall.
Bass Lake's maximum lake depth is 35 feet. Species found in the lake include bluegill, walleye, crappie, northern pike and largemouth bass. Three to four pound fish are not uncommon.
